Our Story

Hello, I’m Hilary owner/artist/designer of Beauty & Geek Fabrics. I started sewing when I was 5 with my grandmother on her old Singer 15. In high school I would make cosplay outfits for myself and my friends. I continued to sew off and on just for fun. Then in 2011 I started my own craft business while I was being a stay-at-home mom to my first born. I sold at lots of local shows and in 2015 I started to make bags and wallets. In 2019 I decided I wanted to start making my own custom fabric and spent the next year practicing my artwork and doing research on suppliers. I was all set to start when Covid started and shut everything down. I finally started once factories where back up and running and have been growing ever since.

I am married with 3 wonderful kids, all are varying in special needs. Your support of my small business helps me to be able to stay home and help them with their needs.
